Pricing

For every broadband purchased, one must pay all the required fees to be able to start browsing the Internet using the broadband. Usually, customer must pay its activation fee, registration fee and monthly fee. Activation fee and registration fee are only paid once. But some providers are not charging its customer for activation  and registration fees, and only let its customer pay monthly charges to continue using their services.

Based on the above table, we can see that for every brand, monthly fees is mandatory. The lowest price offered is Celcom Brodband Basic for only RM 58 per month. While Digi Discover, U Broadband, and Maxis Starter is RM 68 per month respectively. There is no activation fees or registration fee charged for Digi Discover and U Broadband. But for Celcom, Wiggy and Maxis, one must pay an additonal of registration and activation fees when registering for the first time beside the monthly charges. We can see that the highest price when a customer want to register for the first time is from Wiggy 59 with a total cost of RM 219.

To make the best option when purchasing, one must consider the most affordable price based on individual purchasing power. We also need to consider the services and quality that is provided by the service provider through their broadband. If the price is high, but the coverage is low, then your money is not worth it. In another word, we need to be wise in spending our money to choose the right broadband.
