Every broadband package available has a particular capacity which is the certain download limit offered by the broadband service provider. A download limit is how much are allowed to make used of the internet connection to download certain information based on the limit set. As we compare these basic packages of five different main wireless mobile broadband provider in Malaysia, most of the providers took a safe way to offer basic packages with capacity 3GB such that offered by Celcom Broadband Basic, Maxis Starter and DiGi Discover packages. Meanwhile, P1 W1Max offers bigger capacity for its basic package, Wiggy 59 which is 8GB. U Broadband 68 (U68) basic package by U Mobile on the other hand offers its subscribers unlimited capacity or download limit which literally allows unlimited amount of downloads. However, the subscribers will still be subjected to the U Mobile's Fair Use Policy which stated that if the total download and upload use per month exceeds 5GB or such other amount prescribed in the Fair Use Policy, U Mobile may at its absolute discretion manage the subscribers' bandwidth, suspend or terminate the service including without limitation, reducing the speed.
In the end, users need to consider and go for the right package that offers the required capacity as well as considering others factors to fulfill one' requirements.
